The project developed by Bajcsy Invest Kft., a limited liability company in the Szinorg Group, is aimed at the construction of a new hotel in central Debrecen, providing high-quality services. The creation of the innovative four-star hotel, realized with unique architectural solutions, is focusing primarily on business and MICE tourism, and secondarily on individual leisure and tourist groups.In addition to the successful introduction of the hotel on the Hungarian and international markets, its profitable operation, as well as the positive impacts on tourism, the investor also considers using the opportunities in the regional resources and in cooperation with partners as important objectives.
The hotel will have a total capacity of 310 beds in 155 rooms, on a useful floor area of 10,451 square metres. In addition to establishing the infrastructural conditions for services satisfying the guests’ needs and making their stay more enjoyable, the investment will also create new jobs for approximately 55 people. The long-term objectives of the project, beyond gaining a larger market share, include increasing the proportion of returning guests, establishing further links of cooperation, and thereby using the regionally available resources.
Bajcsy Invest Kft. aims to realize the planned four-star hotel using its own sources as well as funding from a grant; therefore, in December 2019, it submitted an application to the call titled “Kisfauldy Accommodation Development Programme – The development of large-capacity existing hotels and building new hotels” announced by Kisfaludy2030 Tourism Development Nonprofit Zrt. The decision on the application is still pending.
The planned completion date of the investment is December 2021, and the hotel expects to welcome the first guests in January 2022.
